Job Description:
Southern Alberta Medical (SAM) is seeking a full-time Cardiologist to join our growing multidisciplinary team in Medicine Hat, Alberta. SAM provides specialty consultation and diagnostic services to southeastern Alberta and southwestern Saskatchewan through an integrated group practice.
Responsibilities:
• Establish and maintain a full-time Cardiology practice in the community of Medicine Hat
• Abide by Southern Alberta Medical's policies
• Work collaboratively with peers and care team colleagues at Southern Alberta Medical in support of patient care
• Participate in quality improvement and initiatives
• Establish a primary residence in Medicine Hat

Required Qualifications
Have a current eligibility letter from CPSA
• FRCPC in cardiology (or equivalent); and/or
• Eligible for independent practice or sponsorship through the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA), CPSA Practice Readiness Sponsorship Stream
• This position is approved for the CPSA Practice Readiness Sponsorship Stream. Southern Alberta Medical will support eligible international medical graduates through the CPSA's alternate licensure pathway, enabling accelerated integration into Alberta's healthcare system
• Candidates applying for a Sponsored Position must already have a confirmed letter of eligibility for the Provisional Register Conditional Practice from the CPSA.
