Alberta Health Services (AHS), Edmonton Corridor invites applications for the role of Deputy Corridor Clinical Department Hospital Lead (CCDHL), Adult Critical Care, General Systems Intensive Care Unit (GSICU) - University of Alberta (UAH).
This 0.10 FTE position governed by the Medical Staff Bylaws and Rules, reports to the Corridor Clinical Department Lead (CCDL), Adult Critical Care (ACC) and the Hospital Medical Director (HMD), UAH. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that standards of care are being met in the department and that support for research and teaching is available.
The Deputy CCDHL, Adult Critical Care, GSICU - UAH provides medical leadership for the Department of Critical Care Medicine's flagship ICU, supporting physician leadership and operations across the GSICU, Burn Unit, and Medical Emergency Team. The role is accountable for quality and patient safety initiatives, physician performance and scheduling, and the management of patient, family, and workforce concerns. Working closely with site leadership and key stakeholders, including transplantation, trauma, emergency medicine, general medicine, and Give Life Alberta, the incumbent helps ensure coordinated, high-quality critical care services. The position also supports education, research, and clinical innovation at UAH.
The position an expected term of 3 years.

Candidates must be registered or eligible for registration with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (or equivalent), eligible to work in Canada, and hold or be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta and appointment to the AHS Medical Staff. Evidence of formal administrative education or training is required.
