Qualifications:
Required qualifications include an MD and Canadian Royal College specialist certification in Neurosurgery. The candidate must have a dedicated clinical fellowship in pediatric spine surgery in which a significant and demonstrable amount of pediatric deformity spine surgery (including early-onset, congenital, neuromuscular, and idiopathic scoliosis) was included and led to independent competence with the spectrum of disease presentation (may be expected or in progress but complete before commencing). The candidate must be eligible for licensure in the Province of Alberta. A strong track record of scholarly activity, with 6 or more peer-reviewed publications, is desired in the preferred candidate.
