Description

Peace River is seeking a Podiatrist Visiting Specialist to provide to provide community-based consultations and surgical services.

The ideal candidate will travel to Peace River approximately 1-2 times per month, 2-3 days each visit and have an 
interest in providing surgical services including but not limited to:

Bunionectomy
Hammertoe repair
Toe amputations/partial foot amputations
Ingrown toenails
Ganglions/Lumps and Bumps
Metatarsal fractures/Foot fractures
Simple Ankle fractures
Achilles repairs/Tendon repairs
Ulcer debridement
Wound care
Ingrown toenails
Most foot and ankle dermatology, ie: Biopsies etc.
Simple Hindfoot procedures like ankle ligament repairs
Wound vac changes
Laceration repairs

Surgical services may be limited by equipment availability.

This position will require the selected candidate to sign a Visiting Specialist contract rendering their services.

Qualifications:

Registration with the College of Podiatric Physicians of Alberta (CPPA) (to be included with application)

Must be licensed to practice as a Podiatrist Specialist per CPPA Standards

Candidate must have hands on experience offering Podiatric services within the past 1-2 years. Experience offering these services as the sole provider is required.
