Provincial Medical Director, Virtual Health

Qualifications:

• The successful applicant must hold an MD or its equivalency and shall have or be eligible for certification in Family Medicine with the Canadian College of Family Physicians or a Specialist with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, and be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.

• Should have a broad understanding of different aspects of virtual care delivery, and experience in delivering virtual care in ambulatory and acute or in-patient settings.
• Ideally should have experience in medical leadership, at the zonal or provincial level.
• Experience in quality assurance project development, clinical research, and patient engagement is an asset.

• AHS physician executive training, CCPE qualification, or Masters of Health Administration/Masters of Business Administration is desirable.
• All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; however, Canadians and permanent residents will be given priority.
• The practitioner will obtain and maintain an AHS Medical Staff Appointment.
