Urgent Care – Locum Physician

The successful applicant will:

• Be certified in Family Medicine with the Canadian College of Family Physicians and have greater than one year of experience in an Urgent Care or Emergency Room setting, or certified in Family Medicine with the Canadian College of Family Physicians with an EM designation, or certified in Emergency Medicine with the Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians
• hold active licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta
• have current medical liability insurance coverage
• demonstrate strong, clear communication skills including written, auditory, and verbal
• be certified in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with information technology systems, for example Netcare or Connect Care
• Previous experience providing urgent or emergency care to pediatric patients
• CCFP (EM) or FRCPC (EM) designation

The candidate must be eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.
