Qualifications:
Qualifications include a MD, eligibility for licensure in the Province of Alberta, and certification in Anatomic Pathology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and/or Anatomic/Clinical Pathology by the American Board of Pathology. Candidates must have subspecialty Fellowship training and/or Certification in Renal Pathology. An advanced graduate degree with basic/translational research training and demonstrated commitment to research in renal pathology areas related to pathogenesis and disease mechanisms or other areas relevant to basic translational research pathology is essential. The ability to establish an independent or significant collaborative research program as demonstrated by a portfolio of scholarly work is also required. Applicants must provide evidence of a well-established research program, outstanding academic publication record as evidenced by continuous publication in high impact journals or leading in the field, demonstrated ability to lead research teams, outstanding teaching and graduate supervision record, and evidence of academic service and/or leadership.
