The successful candidate will have an MD degree, or equivalent. He or she will be eligible to be certification in Cardiology with the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada. Furthermore, he or she will be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA) and have Specialty Fellowship training in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplantation.
The successful applicant will be expected to apply for a Clinical Academic Colleague Appointment in the Department of Medicine, University of Alberta, which will be considered under a separate process through the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry.
