The Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Alberta Health Services (AHS) Calgary Zone, the Cumming School of Medicine, University of Calgary is actively recruiting for a AMHSP Physician. The role of a Contractor and/or Participating Physician in the AHS Department and UCalgary Department involves providing patients with access to clinical care. It also requires teaching the next generation of health care professionals about conditions and illnesses that are treatable by demonstrating interventions through clinical teaching and supporting the learning of trainee physicians. The Administrative/leadership pillar engages the Contractor and/or Participating Physician in community outreach by providing medical expertise to health care planning and policy, and the continuous improvement of clinical care and academia. Through the research pillar, the Contractor and/or Participating Physician will aid in bringing innovations into clinical and academic practice and generating new knowledge that can lead to the development of further new innovations. This position may hold key positions in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology's undergraduate and postgraduate medical education portfolio, and/or leadership portfolio. Candidates must have their FRCSC in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. All candidates will be required to have clinical academic appointments with the Cumming School of Medicine University of Calgary.
