Alberta Health Services, Departments of Oncology and Medicine invite applications for a part-time clinical Neuroendocrinologist position with expertise in Oncology. The successful applicant will join a team of multidisciplinary cancer programs located at the Cross Cancer Institute, Edmonton Zone.
Cross Cancer Institute (CCI) is a freestanding integrated cancer treatment and research facility that functions as the tertiary oncology referral centre for Northern Alberta. CCI is a leader in innovative cancer research, prevention, treatment and care initiatives. It has a strong record of basic and translational research as well as clinical trial activity in Oncology.
The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:
· Provide consultative services in the area of neuroendocrine related tumour types at the Cross Cancer Institute.
· Provide up to 3 Neuroendocrine Tumour (NET) half day clinics per month at the CCI for the assessment and management of
patients with Neuroendocrine Tumours (NET)
· Provide both new and review assessments at each NET clinic.
· Provide timely communication of results to other health providers.
· Respond in a timely manner, in the event there are concerns received from the patient, legal representative, or family members
about patient care.
Qualifications include an MD, FRCPC (Endocrinology)
The Candidate must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta. They must read, write, and speak English fluently. This position is sponsorship and LMIA eligible.
