Qualifications:
Qualifications include an MD, FRCPC Gastroenterology (or equivalent sub-specialist certification), and eligibility for licensure in the Province of Alberta. The successful candidate will have completed a minimum of 1 year of post-gastroenterology fellowship training in hepatology. Although this is a clinical position with no expectation of conducting research, given the high-profile nature of Calgary’s academic liver program, it is expected that the incumbent will help support research activities within the hepatology subsection. As such, advanced training in clinical research will be considered an asset. Applicants should have a strong background in all aspects of hepatology with an ability to contribute to more subspecialized liver-related care (e.g. liver transplant, autoimmune hepatitis and liver disease in pregnancy) The candidate must be eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta. Must read, write, and speak English. All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; however, Canadians and Permanent Residents will be given priority. |
