This specific positions will focus on medical dermatology, including management of chronic skin conditions, as well as surgical procedures. The primary function of the Physician is to provide continued, specialized care to patients with skin related concerns.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide professional patient care at all times and provide a friendly and inviting environment for patients
- Conduct patient assessment, treatment planning and evaluation of treatments for effective outcomes
- Provide consult notes to referring family physicians for new patients
- Perform follow-up care for existing patients and/or refer to an internal general practitioner for continuation of care
- Assist with coaching nursing team to be able to provide effective patient care
- Participate in training and education opportunities provided by the company
- Adhere to company policies and protocols
- Utilize exceptional communication skills to build relationships with both patients and employees
Qualifications:
- Have a current eligibility letter from CPSA
- Have or be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta
- Recent and relevant experience in all areas of practice required
- Valid Eligibility Letter from CPSA
- Due to the strong surgical component of skin cancer patients, surgeons are suitable for this role as well.
