This position is a COMMUNITY position and is NOT part of Alberta Health Services.
Job Description:
Chinook Mall Medical Clinic is looking for 3 new family physicians who are commited to providing high-quality care to patients in our community.
A few months ago, two of our beloved physicians relocated abroad leaving behind over 3000 patients without family phyisicians hence we are looking to have our new physicians take over this panel.
Our clinic is part of the Calgary West Central Primary Care Network (CWC PCN) , hence our physicians all have access to a comprehensive team of healthcare professionals. This includes a registered nurse, registered psychologist, dietitian, social worker, physiotherapists , etc
This multi-disciplinary approach ensures comprehensive and holistic care for patients registered in the clinic.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages.
• Diagnose and treat a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Conduct routine check-ups, health-risk assessments, immunizations, and screening tests.
• Develop and implement patient management plans.
• Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
• Participate in clinic meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing education.
Qualifications:
Have a current eligibility letter from CPSA
Qualifications:
• Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
• CPSA Eligibility Letter.
• Proficiency in English; additional languages are an asset.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with medical advancements.
Desired Competencies:
•Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
•Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS)
•Neonatal resuscitation (NRP)
