Job Description:

  • Diagnose and manage a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions
  • Conduct comprehensive physical examinations
  • Order diagnostic tests (e.g., labs, imaging) and review interpreted results to guide clinical decision-making
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor outcomes
  • Provide preventive care, including:
      > Immunizations, Cancer screenings, Chronic disease counselling and Lifestyle and health promotion
  • See walk-in patients and address urgent care needs as part of daily responsibilities
  • Maintain clear, accurate records using the EMR
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
  • Support clinic operations through billing accuracy, policy adherence, and active participation in quality improvement
  • Engage in continuing medical education and professional development 

Qualifications:

  • Must hold a current eligibility letter from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA) under the sponsorship pathway
  • Eligible for registration and licensure with the CPSA under the Practice Readiness Assessment or Provisional Register (as applicable)
  • Demonstrated commitment to comprehensive, patient-centered care across all age groups
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and clinical decision-making skills
  • Willingness to work in both scheduled appointments and walk-in care settings
  • Comfortable practicing in a collaborative team environment
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development and stay current with medical guidelines and best practices
