 FRCPC in Internal Medicine or equivalent certification
Licensed (or eligible for licensure) with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Compensation:
 
Fee-for-Service (FFS) Model: Earnings are based on the Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan's Schedule of Medical Benefits (SOMB). While specific earnings can vary depending on the volume and type of services provided, general internal medicine specialists in Alberta typically earn between $250,000 and $500,000 annually under the FFS model.
Overhead Costs: Overhead arrangements, including clinic expenses and administrative support, will be discussed in detail with candidates during the interview process.
