Job Description:
Medicine Place is looking for a Physician to join our team.
To provide primary care services to patients of all ages (adult, senior, pediatric) through clinic appointments and walk-ins. This includes comprehensive preventative healthcare, examination, diagnosis, and treatment of a variety of acute and chronic health conditions by prescribing medication, specialists, and follow up care when required.
Primary care roles/responsibilities include but is not limited to:
Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team including receptionists, clinic manager, and pharmacists to coordinate patient care
Perform routine medical evaluations, vaccinations, and diagnostic tests as required.
Perform examinations to properly diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions.
Prescribe medication, treatments, and follow up care as required.
Appropriately maintain and update confidential patient medical records
Ensure patients receive necessary care by creating and implementing effective management plans.
Advise patients on preventative health care practices.
Participate in ongoing professional learning, clinic improvement opportunities, and staff meetings
Qualifications:
Medical degree (M.D. or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA) Practice Permit / Eligibility Letter.
Language proficiency in English
