COMMUNITY: Physician - Shifa Medical Clinic - Edmonton

Qualifications:

As per the CPSA's eligibility requirements guidelines. Applicants should be Eligible for a CPSA license and willing to undergo a Practice Readiness Assessment as outlined by the CPSA. The applicant will apply for and maintain a Community Appointment with Alberta Health Services, in the Department of Family Medicine. 

Community Information:

Shifa Medical Clinic serves over 30,000 patients in Edmonton and its surrounding area. Established in 2014 as a primary care facility, it is now home for 6 Full time, 12 parttime and 4 Casual physicians. The clinic has one of the highest compliance as per PCN south. It is a teaching clinic and a mentorship clinic. The clinic have 14 exam rooms and 2 procedure rooms. It uses Healthquest EMR and has an extensive IT network and support. The physicians are assisted by a team of qualified Medical office Assistants, PCN nurses, BHC and off site support. Shifa Medical facilitates in research publication.
Shifa Medical support communities like Duggan Community league with its soccer program. It is in partnership with Harry Ainlay High school for mentorship program.
