About Unlimited Medical Centres:
Unlimited Medical Centres is a dynamic, patient-focused healthcare provider located on Edmonton's south side in the vibrant Century Park area. We offer a collaborative and supportive work environment for physicians, with a focus on high-quality patient care. Our modern clinic spans 6500 square feet and includes 17 exam rooms. We provide comprehensive services, including family practice, occupational health, and walk-in care. The clinic is easily accessible via the Whitemud Drive, Anthony Henday Drive, and Calgary Trail, as well as being conveniently located near the Century Park LRT and bus terminal.

Our Team:
Unlimited Medical Centres is home to a team of 11 dedicated physicians, with 7 physicians practicing on-site at any given time. We foster a collaborative and team-oriented atmosphere, where physicians work closely together to provide thorough, compassionate care. Our practice model is designed to offer both scheduled appointments and walk-in services, ensuring flexibility for both patients and physicians. We offer robust administrative support to assist our physicians, including a dedicated referral coordinator, a fully trained team of Medical Office Assistants, and a Clinic Manager who oversees third-party and uninsured services.

Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Physician to join our team. This role includes managing a panel of 1000 patients, providing both scheduled and walk-in care, and collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals. The physician will have a shared office space with two dedicated exam rooms and will be expected to contribute to the team's collaborative approach to patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive family medicine services, including diagnosis, treatment, and preventative care for patients of all ages
- Manage a patient panel of 1000, ensuring timely and high-quality care
- Work a minimum of 5 shifts per week, including 1-2 evening shifts (until 8:00 PM) OR a weekend shift, with the remainder of the shifts from 9:00am - 5:00pm as part of a dedicated consistent schedule.
- Conduct patient assessments, order tests, prescribe medications, and create treatment plans with appropriate follow up to all testing ordered
- Provide both booked appointments and walk-in care for patients, as part of a rotating schedule
- Collaborate with other physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals to provide integrated care
- Utilize Healthquest EMR, Prescribe IT, CII/CPAR, and Tali (Scribe) for patient documentation, prescriptions, and communication
- Participate in the Southside Primary Care Network (PCN) to contribute to regional healthcare initiatives and continuing education
- Participate in regular team meetings to discuss patient care, share knowledge, and foster a collegial work environment
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in accordance with clinic policies and regulatory standards

Our clinic is spacious, well-equipped, and designed to foster a supportive, team-based atmosphere. You will have access to 17 exam rooms, modern diagnostic equipment, and a range of clinic services.

Conveniently located on the south side of Edmonton, with easy access to major arterial roads and public transportation.

Qualifications:

Have a current eligibility letter from CPSA

Medical Degree (MD) from an accredited institution
Must have a current Eligibility Letter from the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA)
Conditional to ensuring CMPA coverage, and AMA
Previous experience in a family practice setting is an asset
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to collaborative care
Proficiency with Healthquest EMR or similar EMR platforms
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
