DI Medical Director, Rural (5869)

This position works collaboratively with Rural DI Administration, Site Administration and Zone DI Administration including the Zone Clinical Department Head. It is responsible for the patient care, teaching, research, staff development and administrative activities undertaken by all Physicians working within the Rural sites of Diagnostic Imaging. The Medical Director is required to assist and collaborate with the Zone Clinical Department Head as applicable in regard to site clinical operations. The position is responsible for clinical administration of the Section of Diagnostic Imaging at Rural sites including professional matters relating to patient care, education and research. The position is responsible for the supervision of physicians with privileges in Diagnostic Imaging including managing the schedule and coverage to ensure appropriate staffing resources are provided. This position is a full member of the Zone DI Leadership Team and works collaboratively with that team to implement Provincial and Zone directives. This position is the clinical representative on all site committees as required and is required to ensure a Leadership point of contact for all site-based enquiries.
