Mental Health, Recovery Alberta is inviting applications for a General Psychiatrist Visting Specialist to join North Zone communities and offer in person services to members of North Zone communities at approximately 12 times per year (2-3 days per visit).

This position will require the selected candidate to sign a Visiting Specialist contract rendering their services.

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Obtain and maintain an AHS Medical Staff Appointment and appropriate privileges to provide services.
  • Work collaboratively with peers and care team colleagues in support of patient care.
  • Current Alberta Practice Permit to practice in the advertised position (proof of to be included with application).
  • Hold Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Certification (RCPSC).
  • Recent and relevant experience in all areas of practice required, as Most Responsible Physician.
