Gynecologic Oncologist

Description:

This recruit will participate and contribute to the entire breadth of the Gynecologic Oncology Team activities and duties. The recruit will participate in the gynecologic oncology rota for clinical duties which cover in-patient and out-patient services. Clinical activities include on-call coverage during the week and weekend. They will be responsible for all Gynecologic Oncology consults out of the assigned site, phone calls through RAAPID for Calgary zone and southern Alberta, any emergency OR cases, and all requests for gynecologic oncology and colposcopy related advice. Gynecologic Oncology outpatient clinic at the ACCCC for new patient consults, surveillance visits, treatment assessments, post-op checks, and any assessments of complications/side effects related to surgery and/or systemic therapies. The recruit will also participate in the weekly Gynecologic Oncology Tumor Board (preparation, documentation, and participation in rounds.) 

Participate and contribute to research in gynecologic oncology and related fields including Gynecologic oncology team projects and trials, studies, and projects through the ACCCC. Gynecologic oncology local and Provincial Tumour Team Meetings, journal club, O&G and Oncology rounds, presentations, guideline creation and review. Provide education and training of medical students, residents, fellows, GP oncologists and nurse practitioners.
