Description:
We are looking to recruit for a full-time hospitalist position with the Rockyview General Hospital group. It represents care of the patient through the continuum of inpatient services; seeing patients in the ER, following them onto our inpatient units, and organizing post-acute care. This includes daily rounding, regular admitting, ward coverage shifts, and intermittent weekend work. The physician would be responsible for arranging treatment, tests, and consulting with specialty physicians and primary care physicians when appropriate. This is a replacement of an existing positions and the replacement practitioner would have the same duties as the practitioner currently in the role.
This position is necessary to ensure is necessary to ensure adequate coverage of our call schedule and also to meet the demands of our acute and subacute census.
The position is available starting on May 1, 2025 and up to a 1.0 FTE. There is an accompanying probationary period with this position.
Time Requirement:
Up to a 1.0 Clinical FTE. Work includes rounding and up to 1:4 weekends.

Qualifications:
-Eligible for licensure and in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta and CMPA
-Eligible for privileges within the Department of Family Medicine, Alberta Health Services
-Clinical excellence in the described role, with previous inpatient experience being an asset
-Excellent clinical, interpersonal and communication skills
-Demonstrated ability to collaborate in a team setting to create patient focused solutions
-Exhibits leadership skills and potential
-Desire to participate and contribute to quality improvement activities
-Will be required to attend an in-person interview with an interview panel and provide references upon request
