Locum Academic Teaching Physician – Family Medicine Academic Teaching Centres – Central Family Medicine Teaching Centre, Sheldon M. Chumir Health Centre

This is a 0.399 FTE locum position at the Central Family Medicine Teaching Centre in Calgary, Alberta from September 30 2024 – November 29, 2024, covering Mondays and Wednesdays full days.

Clinical: 100% (0.399 FTE) 184 clinics

The successful candidate will be expected to take over a panel of patients and be a primary preceptor for family medicine residents, and will be a PCN member.               

Clinical Teaching and Service Responsibilities:
•    Provide medical services to the patients of the Department of Family Medicine (DFM) Academic Family Medicine Teaching Centres
•    Provide task and patient coverage for colleagues as necessary; to provide continuity in time of need, flexibility to perform additional clinics may be requested
•    Participate in after-hours care including evening clinics 
•    Participate in the Alberta Triplicate Prescription Program
•    Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and clinical program development
•    Attend meetings such as clinical operations meetings, academic business meetings, and clinical team meetings when available
•    Participate in relevant education activities
•    Participate in Interprofessional Education
