Alberta Health Services is seeking a Family Medicine Physician to provide locum coverage from January 1 - June 30, 2026, in the community of Olds.
Community Information:
Only 45 minutes to Calgary International Airport. Only 1 hour to Foothills Hospital (tertiary care referral centre) and 50 minutes to Red Deer Hospital (primary referral centre). Great town with awesome community facilities. Excellent group of collaborative and supportive colleagues at the hospital and the clinic!
Scope of Practice:
- Family Medicine clinic (2 days per week, but can increase days as you desire - there is always demand in clinic!)
- Optional Emergency Medicine coverage (4 shifts / month with opportunity to pick up more)
- Optional Low risk obstetrics (1 in 6 call rotation - 24 hour call generally. Approx. 225 deliveries/ year)
Optional Hospitalist / Inpatient Care (1 in 8 rotation, one week of hospitalist coverage at a time)
Optional Teaching Medical Students & Residents
