Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Alberta Health Services (AHS) Calgary Zone, and the Cumming School of Medicine, University of Calgary are actively recruiting for a Gynecologist for temporary coverage starting September 20, 2026 based at the Alberta Children's Hospital, as well as Foothills Medical Centre and South Health Campus for adolescent, and adult-transition from PAG patients. Expectations of this position include clinics at ACH, SHC, ORs at ACH and possibly SHC and FMC for Drs Brain, McQuillan, Osbourne, Nelson and Mannerfeldt. Acute care coverage of Pediatric Gynecology and/or Adult Gynecology as assigned to the above 5 individuals would be included. However, Obstetrics acute care shifts ("on call") at FMC, SHC and RGH are not part of this locum. The gynecological care will focus on pediatric and adolescent gynecology. This individual will also have opportunity to access the SHC Procedure Room (referring patients and providing surgical coverage of this time) as it relates to Pediatric and Adolescent Gyne patients. The individual may also be expected to participate in and provide clinical education of medical students, residents, and midwifery students in the Calgary Zone who rotate through our facility as learners.

Qualifications:
FRCSC Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Incumbent must be an active member of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and a member in good standing.
The candidate must be eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.
Must read, write and speak English.
