These positions are in Calgary at the Foothills Medical Centre (FMC) with an FTE of 0.2-1.0.
Alberta Health Services (AHS) is inviting applications from family physicians with a background in family medicine obstetrics to join the Department of Family Medicine in Calgary.
The successful physicians will be expected to provide on-call coverage with the Low Risk Maternity Call Group at FMC as well as clinic coverage with the Low Risk Maternity Clinic. They must be able to integrate seamlessly into a multidisciplinary team environment including licensed practical nurses (LPNs), registered nurses (RNs), and medical office assistants (MOAs).
The Foothills Medical Centre is affiliated with the University of Calgary and is an important training facility for residents and students. As such, the successful candidate will also be required to apply for a Clinical Academic Appointment in the Department of Family Medicine, University of Calgary to play a critical role in supporting this valuable program.

Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
The successful applicants will:
- be certified in Family Medicine with the Canadian College of Family Physicians
- hold active licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta
- have current medical liability insurance coverage
- demonstrate strong, clear communication skills including written, auditory, and verbal
- Have 6 months of obstetrical experience in Calgary
- Provide evidence of Mandatory Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
Preferred Qualifications:
- Have experience in obstetrics in Calgary
