Alberta Health Services (AHS), Edmonton Zone and Cancer Care Alberta invites applications for the role of Medical Director, CCI Surgical Oncology Services.

 This 0.20 FTE position governed by the Medical Staff Bylaws and Rules, reports to the Zone Clinical Department Head (ZCDH) , Oncology, to the ZCDH, Surgery, and to the Facility Medical Director, Cross Cancer Institute (CCI).

The Medical Director of CCI Surgical Oncology Services provides leadership within the area of the Surgical Oncology program.

This leadership position is accountable for ensuring effective operation and clinical service delivery of the surgical program at CCI, leading strategies for the CCI surgical service expansion, communication strategy, quality management and improvement, patient safety, dispute resolution and medical legal issue. This position will liaise with the Zone Medical leadership and other relevant stakeholders.

The position has an expected start date of approximately May 15th, 2024, and an expected term of 3 years.
