Alberta Health Services and the Poison and Drug Information Service (PADIS) are seeking applicants for the positions of Medical Toxicologist in Calgary, Alberta.
PADIS provides 24-hour service to Alberta, Saskatchewan, and the Northwest Territories. The successful applicants will join our group of Medical Toxicologists in providing on-call services to PADIS and bedside consultations as part of our city-wide Medical Toxicology Consultation Service. All PADIS Medical Toxicologists based in Calgary are also expected to participate in Medical Toxicology resident rotation teaching, seeing patients in outpatient Medical Toxicology clinic, and teaching in the Royal College Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology residency training program.
Where applicable, the successful applicants will also be expected to work clinically in one of the following Departments: Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Pediatrics in the Calgary Zone. If desired, there is also the option to provide on call services for our Clinical Pharmacology consultation group.
The applicants will be board certified in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Pediatrics, and board certified or board eligible in Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology. Applicants must have an MD degree and be eligible for licensure in the province of Alberta.
