Qualifications include MD, certification by the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada in Ophthalmology or an FRCSC equivalent, and a fellowship in neuro-ophthalmology. Applicants must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.
The successful candidate will be a member of the Section of Ophthalmology, Department of Surgery. There will be access to operating room time at the Rockyview General Hospital and chartered surgical facilities for scheduled procedures. The successful candidate will be required to participate in the zone-wide ophthalmology on-call schedule, and the Rockyview Vision Clinic. The ability to contribute and support research and teaching will be required.
The surgeon will be expected to apply for a clinical appointment with the University of Calgary, Cumming School of Medicine, Department of Surgery and to participate in medical student, resident and fellow teaching.
In accordance with Canadian immigration requirements, priority will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada.
