The Department of Pediatrics (DoP) invites applications to apply for a 0.60 FTE, Fee for Service, Clinical Associate position at the Alberta Children’s Hospital (ACH), within Alberta Health Services, Calgary Zone, Section of Pediatric Cardiology. 

 

This is a Clinical Associate, Fee for Service position, starting April 1, 2025 at 0.60 FTE 

 
The successful candidate will be a certified Pediatrician with special interest in Pediatric Cardiology.  This successful candidate will be responsible for working alongside the cardiologists in the management of inpatients at ACH either as a consulting service or as the MRP.  The clinician will assist with new inpatient consults to Cardiology.  The clinician may also be involved in ambulatory assessments of patients in the cardiology clinic, including new referrals or follow-up patients, as well as patients returning from Stollery Hospital following cardiac surgery or cardiac catheterization. 

 

This role will ideally consist of a minimum of 5-6 half days weekly.  There is no expectation of weekend or evening coverageThis role will not be expected to participate in ROCA, all outside calls would be directed to the Service Cardiologist only.

Qualifications include an MD, with certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Pediatrics (FRCPC)    

 

The candidate must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.
