Physician - Sexual Reproductive Health - SMCHC

Qualifications:

IUD and implant removal and insertion skills required.

Preference given to those who are designated prescribers of HIV PrEP, who have experience with difficult IUD insertions, and who have experience working in sexual health and/or with vulnerable/diverse populations. Preference given to those with a flexible schedule who can cover shifts on short notice. 

Applicants must hold an MD or equivalent and must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta. Candidates with advanced degrees awarded or in progress are preferred. Certification by the College of Family Physicians of Canada or equivalent is required. Preference for privileges in Family Medicine and a University of Calgary Academic Appointment.

New recruits are expected to apply for a University of Calgary appointment and participate in resident training within one year of starting. SRH accepts family medicine and pediatrics residents.
