Plastic Surgeon

The successful candidate will become a member of the Section of Plastic Surgery.  Clinical duties will include patient care in the areas of general plastic surgery and the recruit will have some latitude with the direction their subspecialty practice grows. The position includes main OR time, minor surgery time and hand clinic time at RGH. The surgeon will take plastic surgery call according to the site and Alberta Health Services policies.

The surgeon will be expected to apply for a clinical academic appointment with the University of Calgary, Cumming School of Medicine, Department of Surgery, and to participate in medical student and resident teaching. They will contribute to clinical teaching, academic half days, journal clubs, and safety rounds. Participation in clinical research is encouraged. Committee duties and active participation in the Section of Plastic Surgery is required.
