Qualifications and Required Attributes:
Relationship management and communication are important components of this position. The lead should be dedicated to patient safety, quality improvement and have a strong working knowledge of change management. There is an expectation to inspire collaboration across specialties and between health disciplines. The Lead should be persistent, have self-confidence, be comfortable interacting with others, and be a good listener. This role may also be required to connect and work with the larger obstetrical teams within a rural site inclusive of nursing and midwifery.
In addition, the successful applicant shall have:
- The practitioner will obtain and maintain an AHS Medical Staff Appointment.
All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; however, Canadians and permanent residents will be given priority.
Reporting Relationship:
The Provincial Obstetrical Specialist Program Lead - RSONA will report directly to the Associate Chief Medical Officer, Medical Staff Workforce Strategies and Quality Improvement.

- FTE: 0.2
- Remuneration is based on CMO Policy 01-01.
