Qualifications:
Medical Degree from a recognized international medical school.
Postgraduate training in General Psychiatry with current experience in Adult Psychiatry
Recent experience (within the last 12 months) of independent practice where the physician has been the Most Responsible Physician for a wide range of patients with mental health conditions, is an asset.
The candidate must be eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.
Eligible for Provisional Registration in Psychiatry with the CPSA, or equivalencies deemed appropriate by CPSA for a PRA Assessment with AHS Sponsorship.
Preference will be given to applicants who do not require or have completed the CPSA Practice Readiness Assessment.
Recent experience serving rural communities in Alberta in an asset.
Must read, write and speak English.
