South Zone Clinical Department Section Chief - Surgery Subspeciality Surgery MHRH

The Zone Clinical Department Section Chief (ZCDSC) Surgery, Subspecialty Surgery - MHRH is a medical leadership role governed by the Medical Staff Bylaws and Rules and works collaboratively in a dyad leadership model with Directors for AHS administration, to lead and participate in the development of system wide clinical services. The ZCDH is responsible for overseeing clinical operations involving members of their Zone Clinical Department Section and reports to the Zone Clinic Department Head – Surgery  Medicine Hat Regional Hospital.

The ZCDSC fulfills the duties and responsibilities assigned by the AHS Medical Staff Bylaws and Rules as they pertain to the South Zone Clinical Department of Surgery,  Subspecialty Surgery.  The ZCD will maintain and recruit an appropriately trained physician workforce, ensure high standards of clinical care and ethical conduct of medical staff, foster maintenance of CS and promote a learning environment for physicians, students and staff within South Zone.
