The Physician Lead- IQM is a leadership role that reports directly to the Associate Zone Medical Director assigned to Quality Improvement. The incumbent will be responsible to provide leadership to physicians for quality improvement quality and safety initiatives in South Zone. The Physician Lead-IQM will need to collaborate with the Senior Operating Officer assigned to Quality Management and leadership of the Integrated Quality Management Team. |
Key Responsibilities:
Co-Chair the South Zone Quality Assurance Committee
Provide physician representation on zonal and provincial IQM committee.
Work closely with the Integrated Quality Management team to support quality and patient safety priorities in South Zone.
Collaborate with the Zone Leadership, medical leads, frontline physicians and staff by leading and focusing the work of Integrated Quality Management as a catalyst to achieving high quality patient care and patient safety.
Lead and facilitate physician participation in key quality initiatives as defined by Zone Leadership.
Lead and facilitate a model of open communication between physicians and the healthcare team, ensuring there is a shared inter-professional responsibility.
In collaboration, develop and facilitate education for physicians about their roles and responsibilities in Integrated Quality Management.
