Stroke Neurologist (24-UAH-NEU-NEURO-08ab)

We are looking for a Fee for Service stroke neurologist to join our group. Stroke Fellowship is preferred. If not Stroke Fellowship trained, the individual MUST be willing to undergo training and supervision by a Stroke Neurologist to ensure that telestroke capabilities are acceptable, knowledge of guidelines, Alberta algorithms, care access outside of Edmonton Zone is solid and consistent with demands of providing on-call care. Approximately 30-40% of patients reside outside of Edmonton Zone, requiring knowledge of facility capabilities to effectively provide on-call care to the North and Central sectors. Duties include but are not limited to acute stroke call/telestroke call on a rotating roster, inpatient stroke ward service, and ambulatory stroke prevention clinic attendance. Canadian FRCPC training or eligibility to complete the Royal College examination in Neurology is required. Certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, Canada will be required within 3 years of appointment.
