Urogynecologist

The Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Alberta Health Services (AHS) Calgary Zone, the Cumming School of Medicine, University of Calgary is actively recruiting for a Urogynecologist in the Department. Candidates must have their FRCSC in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and preference will be given to a candidate with Royal College Subspecialty Certification, with special areas of interest in vaginal reconstructive surgery, incontinence surgery, and have administrative interest. All candidates will be required to have clinical academic appointments with the Cummings School of Medicine University of Calgary. Expectations of this position include consultation, medical & surgical care of people with pelvic floor issues, as well as acute care coverage of Urogynecology patients. The position will be given partial allocation of Gynecologic call to provide relief to General Gynecology at Foothills Medical Centre, as well as a commensurate amount of Operation Room days at the Foothills with right to pick up additional days if they become available. The individual will be expected to have an on-site academic clinic (PFC within WHAC), providing consultation and on-going care. The individual will participate in and provide clinical education of medical students, residents, and fellows in the Calgary Zone.
