Qualifications:

The successful candidate will be an MD (or equivalent) with certification in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation with the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada and be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA) as clinical service is required as part of this appointment.  Additional academic training would be an asset. The ideal candidate will have previous medical leadership experience in a dynamic academic and healthcare environment, preferably in an established academic role. This leadership position also includes appointment as Section Chief within Alberta Health Services in the Edmonton Zone Clinical Department of Neurosciences.  Candidates must have significant experience in the clinical service arena as well as the academic environment and must understand the interplay between these two pillars of academic medicine.

Individuals with strong academic and research interests in any area of rehabilitation science or education are encouraged to apply.  A successful record of research funding or other academic recognition would also be an asset.
