Quality Improvement
Identify, coordinate and support site specific QI initiatives.
Support the iPMO in developing, implementing and evaluating QI projects.
Identify and liaise with zonal and provincial QI bodies on joint initiatives.
Promote a culture of continuous quality improvement within the medical staff
Quality Assurance
Co-chair the Quality Assurance Committee and coordinate the implementation of the recommendations coming from the QAC.
Support the Safe Clinical Practice Program to identify areas for improvement in care provided at the site.
Identify and coordinate sources of information relevant to the goals of improving quality and safety.
Represent the site at the Calgary Zone Quality Council
Administrative Contributions
Regularly update the Site Leadership Council on the QA/QI activities at the site
To act as the proxy for the Facility Medical Director as required.
Participate in the Senior Physician Lead call group

Qualifications:
A physician with (or eligible for) clinical privileges at the Foothills Medical Centre
At least 5 years’ experience and/or additional training in QI/QA
CCPE certification or equivalent preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proven leadership abilities as evidenced by progressive advancement to positions of greater responsibility. These abilities would include strong interpersonal skills, effective change management, team building, priority setting and outcome evaluation.
The candidate must be eligible for Licensure with one of the following institutions: the RCPSC, CCFP, or CCFP(EM). Must read, write, and speak English. |
