Job Description:

The successful family physician candidate will establish a panel of patients at the Allin Clinic providing comprehensive longitudinal family medicine to patients of all ages, from infants to the elderly. They will provide care under the philosophy of a Patient Medical Home. They will treat a wide range of acute and chronic conditions, perform minor in-office procedures, and arrange regular preventative health care screening for their patients.
Key responsibilities include:
• Provide care to individuals of all ages, including children, adults and seniors
• Conduct appropriate history and physical examinations
• Diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic medical conditions
• Provide preventative health care including appropriate screening and chronic disease prevention
• Provide timely follow up care
• Maintain accurate and up to date patient records using clinic EMR system
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals
• Participate in clinic on-call group coverage
• Arrange referral to specialist care where appropriate
• Remain current with medical knowledge, continuing medical education, best practices and CPSA Standards of Practice

As per the CPSA's eligibility requirements guidelines. Applicants should be Eligible for a CPSA license and willing to undergo a Practice Readiness Assessment as outlined by the CPSA. The applicant will apply for membership of the Edmonton O-day'min Primary Care Network.

Qualifications:

Have a current eligibility letter from CPSA

CPSA approved with Eligibility Letter to practice Family Medicine.
CMPA coverage.
Medical Degree from a CPSA accredited institution
Applicants should be Eligible for a CPSA license and willing to undergo a Practice Readiness Assessment as outlined by the CPSA
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
