The Department of Medicine (http://www.departmentofmedicine.com) in the Cumming School of Medicine, University of Calgary and Alberta Health Services (http://www.albertahealthservices.ca) invites applications for a permanent position as an Infectious Disease Specialist with additional expertise in infectious prevention and control.
Primary clinical responsibilities will include providing inpatient general infectious disease consultancy services inclusive of night and weekend call, outpatient care in the home parenteral therapy programs, and other outpatient infectious disease clinics. Inpatient care activities may occur at any of the Calgary Zone adult hospital sites.
The position represents 0.75 full time equivalent status for clinical care. Beyond the clinical services above, ability and interest to participate in infection prevention and control activities will be an asset. Additional clinical opportunities such as working in outpatient clinics with persons living with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) are available as options. Remuneration for this position will be through a Fee-For -Service mechanisms for provision of clinical services.
