Qualifications must include an MD, Fellowship of The Royal College of Surgeons of Canada and additional minimum one year of fellowship training in Orthopaedic Reconstructive Foot and Ankle Surgery and additional fellowship in Orthopaedic Trauma Surgery. Eligibility for licensure in the Province of Alberta is required.


The successful candidate will join the Peter Lougheed Centre Orthopaedic Surgery group and participate in an Orthopaedic call schedule. Fracture clinic support and elective surgical resources will reside at the Peter Lougheed Centre. Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle and Trauma support will reside at Talaris Medical.


The successful candidate will be required to be a strong contributor to Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Education and act as a preceptor for learners at all levels of undergraduate and post-graduate medical education and will retain an appointment with The Cumming School of Medicine, University of Calgary. The successful candidate will have an interest in clinical or basic research and will support ongoing hospital site and Orthopaedic Section based research. The successful candidate will be expected to supervise medical students, residents and fellows in their research efforts.


Administrative roles within the Section of Orthopaedic Surgery will be mandated. The successful candidate will embrace a collaborative model to advance patient care and quality improvement.
