Zone Clinical Section Chief, Pediatric Respirology

Alberta Health Services (AHS), Calgary Zone invites applications for the role of Zone Clinical Section Chief, Pediatric Hospital Medicine, Department of Pediatrics.

This 0.10 FTE position governed by the Medical Staff Bylaws and Rules, reports to the Zone Clinical Department Head of Pediatrics.

The Section Chief Pediatric Respirology is a leadership role contributing guidance and advice for strategic planning, project development and quality care for patients receiving clinical care through the Section of Pediatric Respirology. This medical-administrative leader will work with the medical leadership team contributing expert guidance and advice to matters within the Department of Pediatrics.

This leader position is accountable for ensuring effective support at the site level for patient safety, quality management, teaching and research, promoting educational programs and developing/promoting departmental research activities for section members. The role will also support recruitment and retention of physicians to the section, and liaise with other site medical leaders.
