Qualifications:
Qualifications include an MD, FRCPC Gastroenterology, and eligibility for licensure in the Province of Alberta. Additional qualifications include specialized training in advanced therapeutic endoscopy and specifically endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) and endoscopic ultrasound (EUS). Remuneration will come from fee for service billings through Alberta Health.
Applicants should have a strong background in all aspects of gastroenterology and advanced pancreaticobiliary endoscopy. The successful candidate will have completed at least 1 year of post-gastroenterology specialized clinical fellowship training in advanced/therapeutic endoscopy which must include ERCP and endoscopic ultrasound (EUS). The Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy Group in Calgary has a robust research program. Although this position is clinically focused, experience/formal training in research methodology to complement the Group will be considered an asset. There is also an expectation that they will contribute to teaching within the Division broadly and teaching/mentorship within the Pancreaticobiliary Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy Training Program. It is expected that the successful candidate will be part of GI Central Access and Triage (GI CAT
The candidate must be eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta. Must read, write, and speak English. All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; however, Canadians and Permanent Residents will be given priority. |
