The Safe Clinical Practices Program is looking for a Rural Physician Lead. Working within the Safe Clinical Practice Program. The Physician Lead supports Calgary Zone Rural Alberta Health Services (AHS) Sites. Together with the Clinical Department Head, medical leads, frontline physicians and clinical staff, and the broader Integrated Quality Management (IQM) Team, the Physician Lead will implement, and support strategies and practice improvement initiatives aimed at patient quality and safety priorities including Required Organizational Practices, with a focus on physician engagement and collaboration. They will work closely with the Deputy Department Head for Rural Medicine and the Rural Physician Safety Lead
- Proven leadership, communication, organizational, change management, team building and facilitation skills.
- Expertise in developing and providing resources, consultation, and collaborative support to stakeholder teams.
- Experience in supporting and promoting clinical best practice and experience as a change agent.
- Expertise in: strong verbal and written communication skills, well developed interpersonal skills, ability to cultivate positive relationships and passion for patient safety.
- Alberta Health Services privileges to practice at a rural Albert Health Services Facility.
The candidate must be eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.
Must read, write and speak English.
